About Us
UPAY Gurugram is the 3rd Zone after Nagpur & Mauda to work for the upliftment of underprivileged kids in society. Journey of UPAY Gurugram Zone was started on 21st Feb 2016 in slums behind Niwas Properties in Sec 57 to provide education to the children living there. Since their parents were migrant construction workers, maids, domestic workers, signal hawkers, beggars etc. who come below the poverty line. Their innocent shoulders were being burdened by domestic responsibility either in a way of earning or taking care of their siblings. It was hard for those children to go to School.
Considering the inconvenience of those children, UPAY provided the education at their doorstep. Although it took 1 year for us to make them familiar with the classrooms, it was the biggest achievement for us to see them studying.
Along with the education, we also aim to make their parents aware to be Child Centric instead of Gender Centric in terms of providing education and other necessary rights. Our Volunteers/members are devoted to transforming the lives of these children who could otherwise be part of Child labour, poverty.
